One of the best tourism and resort towns in Japan, boasting Mount Aizu Bandai and Lake Inawashiro
Inawashiro, located in the Aizu district of Fukushima Prefecture, lies between Mount Bandai in the north and Lake Inawashiro in the south. It is a resort area where people come to enjoy the picturesque landscape throughout the four seasons. Inawashiro gets more than a meter of snow in winter. It is also known as the birthplace of the Hideyo Noguchi. The town offers plentiful first-rate leisure activities, from skiing and mountain climbing to marine sports and hot springs. Inawashiro is also well-known for its fine food. The town’s specialties, which include some of Japan’s best soba, rice, sake, beef, tomatoes, milk, miso, and more, leave visitors wanting for nothing.
