Daigo is located in the northwest of Ibaraki Prefecture. Daigo lies adjacent to Fukushima in the north and Tochigi Prefecture in the west.
Approximately 80% of Daigo is covered in forest, the picturesque nature is one of the town’s most attractive qualities.
Some of Daigo’s most important industries are agriculture, forestry, and tourism which is centered on Fukuroda Falls, one of the three greatest waterfalls of Japan.
Temperature differences in Daigo are extreme, and the agricultural industry takes maximum advantage of this, producing some of the best crops.
